First of all, since " is an HTML escape code, it gets converted to a quotation mark ('). This gets converted in the Instructable as well, and incorrectly renders the string as answer':'.
Second, the string should be looking for the key in a key-value pair, which would be "answer": instead of answer":". The reason for this is that, when decoded, answer":" becomes answer':' instead of 'answer':. The former is more broken and ambiguous. It assumes that the character following the colon is a quotation mark (which isn't necessarily true), and is missing the quotation before answer, which must be there, thanks to the syntax of JSON.
